Helsinki, June 2025 — MVision AI is pleased to announce that Contour+, its AI-powered auto-contouring software for radiation therapy, has received market approval for clinical use in Morocco. The Moroccan Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AMMPS) has granted this authorization, allowing integration of Contour+ into clinical workflows across the country.

This approval comes at a critical time. Cancer is the second leading cause of death in Morocco, with recent statistics showing over 63,000 new cases diagnosed annually and nearly 37,000 cancer-related deaths each year. The lifetime risk of developing cancer before the age of 75 in Morocco is estimated at over 15%, highlighting the need for technologies that improve care delivery and support clinical teams (1).

Contour+ offers AI-driven, guideline-based segmentation of over 300 anatomical structures, including 90 lymph node regions. By automating the contouring process, it reduces manual workload by up to 95%, supporting consistency and alignment with international standards.

“Securing market approval in Morocco marks a significant milestone in our mission to support clinicians worldwide,” said Saad Ullah Akram, CEO and CTO of MVision AI. “Contour+ is designed to assist radiation oncology professionals in delivering precise, standardized care, ultimately benefiting patients across the region.”

MVision AI continues to expand the clinical availability of Contour+ to support standardized radiation therapy planning across global markets.
