  • Flexible and collaborative working culture.

We are looking for multiple Computer Vision thesis workers and interns to join our stellar team on the quest to fight – and win – cancer with AI.

WHAT’S THE CHALLENGE YOU WOULD HELP US TO SOLVE AND HOW?

MVision was born out of a deep desire to harness AI in winning the war on cancer. We exist to optimize the radiotherapy treatment that approximately 60% of all cancer patients undergo. As we continue to grow, our engineering team is in search of computer vision researchers. Would that be you?

The problems you would be working on:

  • Image registration (multi-modality)
  • Image segmentation
    ○ Improve performance (reduce computation time, failure rate, etc.)
    ○ Make more efficient use of training samples, i.e., reducing annotation burden
  • Speeding up (reduce time and/or number of clicks required for) annotation of 3D medical images
    ○ Develop interactive methods, which can intelligently adjust the boundary depending on user clicks/scribbles/etc.
    ○ Use CRF/Graph-cuts/Random walker/etc to snap contours to structure boundaries
  • Image translation: generating synthetic scans to augment training data
  • Radiotherapy plan generation
  • Self-supervised learning

Your tasks would include:

  • Preparing data pipelines
  • Managing machine learning experiments
  • Reproducing methods from the latest research papers and adapting them to our data/problems
  • Analyzing the performance of machine learning models, identifying failures, and improving performance

Skills we are looking for:

  • Strong background in any of the following fields:
    ○ Medical image analysis
    ○ Computer vision
    ○ Machine/deep learning
    ○ Computational microscopy
    ○ Data science and statistics
    ○ Radiomics, etc.
  • PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
  • Motivation to push the current state-of-the-art, propose novel ideas, and implement them quickly

Please provide a brief report of one or a few ML/CV projects that you are most proud of, including what tasks were your responsibility and how you handled them. Sample code would be appreciated.

The following are also seen as an advantage:

  • Past experience in the following research areas:
    • Semantic and/or instance segmentation
      ○ Image registration (multi-modality)
      ○ Image translation (GANs) from unpaired images
      ○ Unsupervised learning
  • Working (including visualizing) with 3D data (preferably medical, e.g., CT/MR scans)
  • Cloud: Azure, AWS, etc
  • Familiarity with the DICOM standard
  • Familiarity with radiotherapy and/or radiology

Other info:

  • Apply as soon as possible by sending your CV to saad.akram@mvision.ai – the positions will be filled as soon as the right people are found
  • Position: Full-time
  • Start: As soon as possible
  • Location: HQ and team in Helsinki, but you choose where you work
